I bought a used compound bow and it was all camo'ed but I could tell
it was wood just from the feel of it. Luckily it was an amatuerish
paint job and steel wooled off easily. The riser is a laminate with
cherry colored oil finish. The limbs are wood and sandwiched with
black fiberglass. Unfortunately there was not a label indicating the
draw weight or string length but if I were to guess it somewhere above
60 pounds and the string length measures out to be 36 3/4". I'm
assuming because of stretching the string length is 36". Does any one
know of this company and have any information on these bows.

Here is what is imprinted on the lower limb

The Pro Line Co.
Hastings Michigan 49058
Licensed under Allen Pat
No 3486495 by PL Co

5-Year
LIMITED
WARRANTY

Thanks in advance

bgc,

They may have moved and renamed there company to Darton Archery. Try this:
Darton Archery
3540 Darton Rd.
Hale, MI 48739
PHONE: (989) 728-4231
FAX: (989) 728-2410
http://www.dartonarchery.com/proline.htm

I found a referance to them on this page and thats how I found the site at
the very bottom of the page. The article there calls them "Proline Archery"
and they are in Michigan neer where the other address you had is:
http://www.bowhunting.net/NewProducts/00-PROLINE-MountainBow.htm

If that doesn't help let me know. One of my previous jobs was data mineing
on the internet...

Mine is a 46-60# and has the original cherry finish. Mine has straight wheels, not cams, which I bought with purpose as they were significantly quieter than the cams. Sacrificed a little speed and knockdown power, but it put down plenty of deer.
